Mission Statement

Welcome to Community Services for Sight (CSS). Our volunteers are an integral part of the services we provide. We thank you for your time and commitment to our clients and the community.

Mission Statement: Community Services for Sight is to support and promote the interests of people who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise disabled, and to prevent blindness throughout Southern Luzerne, Carbon, and Schuylkill Counties.

​

Vision Statement: Community Services for Sight will be recognized as the premier resource for services that prevent blindness, and maximize opportunities for individuals who are blind and visually impaired to maintain dignity and independence.

Who is Community Services for Sight (CSS)? CSS is a private nonprofit organization that works to provide opportunities to help individuals who are blind and visually impaired or otherwise disabled to flourish within and enrich our communities. Our expansive services touch the lives of hundreds of individuals in the communities we serve.

We have Specialized Services, Prevention of Blindness, Camp Sight, Kids in the Kitchen, Low Vision Aids, Talking Books, and Optical Center.
